A 27-year-old Shamattawa man is facing a manslaughter charge after a woman died from injuries sustained in an intimate partner violence incident.

Manitoba RCMP were called to a residence in the community on Wednesday night to find an unresponsive 32-year-old woman inside. She was transported to the local nursing station with life-threatening injuries before being flown to a Winnipeg hospital for further care. She died on Thursday.
