A 21-year-old Dauphin man is facing multiple charges following two separate assault incidents over a long weekend.
The first occurred at around 4:10 a.m. on May 15 at a restaurant in the 1500 block of Main Street. RCMP say the suspect was seated with a 47-year-old man when an argument broke out. He allegedly grabbed the victim’s walking cane, struck him with it, and left the restaurant with the cane. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was arrested later that day and released with conditions.
Three days later, on the afternoon of May 18, RCMP were called to a store on 1st Avenue Northeast after the same man — who is banned from the premises — was spotted in the parking lot. A 16-year-old employee told him to leave, at which point RCMP say he threatened the teen, briefly walked away, then returned and threw a rock at him. No injuries were reported.
Raiden Oshawee was arrested shortly after and is now charged with robbery, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats. He remains in custody.
