Three people are facing a combined slate of firearms and drug charges after a traffic stop in Elmwood early Sunday morning.

Officers on patrol spotted a speeding 2012 Infiniti FX35 travelling westbound on Nairn Avenue from Lagimodiere Boulevard just before 6 a.m.

Officers pulled the vehicle over and determined none of the three occupants held a valid driver’s licence. An open bottle of alcohol was observed inside the vehicle, prompting a further search.

Police seized a loaded 9mm handgun with a loaded magazine, a large quantity of ammunition, 1.5 ounces of cocaine with an estimated street value of $3,000, 28 hydromorphone pills, and approximately $600 in cash.

Arnold Isaac Daniels, 29, Kiah Leigh Danyluk, 30, and Peyton Ryan Guimond, 19, each face multiple charges.

All three were detained in custody.
