Winnipeg police are investigating after an elderly woman was found dead inside a residence in the 1-99 block of Primrose Crescent.
Officers responded to the home just before 8 p.m. on June 8 to assist in a missing person investigation. Upon arrival, they located a deceased woman inside.
She has been identified as 73-year-old Lexie Diane Smart.
The homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
