A 23-year-old Ebb and Flow First Nation man is facing multiple charges after a Winnipeg man was shot while riding a bicycle in the community.
Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a report of a shooting on Ebb and Flow First Nation at approximately 8:05 p.m. on July 3.
Police say the victim, a 25-year-old Winnipeg man, was shot in the abdomen while riding his bicycle. He was found near a local business and taken by private vehicle to Ste. Rose du Lac Health Centre before being flown by air ambulance to hospital in Winnipeg for further treatment. He’s said to be in stable condition.
An investigation led officers to a residence on Central Road, where the suspect was taken into custody.
Joshua Houle, 23, is charged with multiple offences. He remains in custody.
