Winnipeg police have arrested three people following a drug trafficking bust in the 600 block of Elgin Avenue.
Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Saturday, arresting two men and a woman, while also seizing illicit drugs, weapons, a firearm, and cash.
Officers seized a Beretta .40 calibre handgun with obliterated serial number, various ammunition, a machete, bear spray canister, 40 individually packaged bags of crack cocaine totalling 12.6 g, 2.8 g of powder cocaine and $565 in currency. The seized drugs have a combined estimated street value of $1,100.
Dillon Riley Barker, 30, and Savannah Taylor Sanderson, 26, have been charged with multiple offences and remain in custody.
The third suspect — a 69-year-old man — faces similar drug and weapons charges. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
