Environment Canada notes the figures are derived from historical stations active during each location’s period of record, some of which date back as far as 1886 in Portage la Prairie. The agency cautions the summary may contain preliminary or unofficial information.
The summer heat will continue in Winnipeg and southern Manitoba to begin the week, before a slight reprieve on Wednesday, when there’s a 90 percent chance of 5-10 mm of rain and a daytime high of 26°C in the city.
