The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will soon roll its way into Manitoba to celebrate 20 years of collecting food and raising funds for food banks across North America.

The train will stop in Winnipeg on Monday, December 3 at 9 p.m. at the grade railway crossing at Panet Road and Molson Street. The event runs from 9:15 to 9:45 p.m. and the stage will open to both sides.

WINNIPEG — Brian Bowman will remain Winnipeg’s mayor, receiving wide support from the electorate in Wednesday’s municipal election.

Bowman, Winnipeg’s 43rd mayor, was first elected in 2014 and defeated fellow frontrunner Jenny Motkaluk. Bowman had 53.30 percent of the vote over Motkaluk’s 35.72 percent.

Restrictions Placed on Manitoba Care Home After Mistreatment of Patients

Restrictions have been placed on a Manitoba personal care home after an investigation revealed some residents were mistreated.

The province says the Lions Prairie Manor Personal Care Home near Portage la Prairie had 21 complaints against it made by patients and their families between August 2016 and October 2017.
