A 34-year-old man is facing multiple charges after RCMP seized six firearms and other prohibited weapons from a residence in the RM of Oakland-Wawanesa.
Brandon RCMP executed a search warrant on August 31 after learning the owner, who is subject to multiple court orders prohibiting him from possessing firearms or weapons, was allegedly in possession of firearms.
Police seized six firearms, magazines, a large amount of ammunition and a tactical-style knife from the residence. Three of the firearms, some of the ammunition and one of the magazines were prohibited weapons.
A suspect was arrested without incident at the residence.
Bryce McMillan of the RM of Oakland-Wawanesa, is charged with multiple firearms-related offences and failing to comply with a release order condition.
He was released on a release order.
