WINNIPEG – Winnipeg quarterback Matt Nichols isn’t worried if wet weather forces him to take the glove off his injured throwing hand.

The Blue Bombers host the B.C. Lions Saturday afternoon, with the forecast including a chance of rain or wet flurries.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Andrew Harris will champion Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba as its newest ambassador.

Harris will attend RMHC Manitoba and third party events as part of his community duties, be a spokesperson for the charity and advocate for its fundraising campaigns.

Winnipeg police and conservation officials were trying to herd a loose moose near Investors Group Field on Saturday afternoon.

As thousands of fans attempted to get themselves to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ Banjo Bowl, police were forced to temporarily close Chancellor Matheson Road at the University of Manitoba.

Football fans will be seeing fewer buses lined up around Investors Group Field this season when they take in a Winnipeg Blue Bombers game.

With the opening of the new Stadium Station rapid transitway on Tuesday, the more than 200 buses that previously lined streets around the stadium will be travelling through the new terminal.

A bronze statue in the likeness of the late Cal Murphy will be installed at Investors Group Field to honour the former Winnipeg Blue Bomber.

Murphy, a Winnipeg native, spent more than 30 seasons in the CFL, winning nine Grey Cups over his careers, where he spent 14 seasons (1983-1996) with the Blue Bombers.
