Blue Bombers Linebacker Adam Bighill Happy to Help Kids with Facial Differences

WINNIPEG – Adam Bighill is happy and satisfied every time he hauls down a quarterback or knocks the ball out of an opponent’s hands.

But those feats don’t top the list of accomplishments for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers middle linebacker, who was voted the CFL team’s most outstanding player and top defensive player. Helping shy children with facial differences look people in the eye, smile and speak confidently is what makes him as proud as any of his football achievements.

Investors Group Field — also home to the U of M Bisons football team — will soon undergo a name change, after the company whose name adorns all venue signage, rebranded itself.

NEEPAWA, Man. — Our roads are in shambles and Manitobans are concerned about cutbacks to health care, yet last month, the provincial government announced that it is writing off $82 million in loans to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The loans are related to the construction of the Bombers’ new stadium, Investors Group Field, and are part of a saga that has been filled with nothing but bad news for taxpayers.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers Slash Prices for Some Concessions, Parking

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have reduced the prices on some stadium concessions and parking for the remainder of the season.

Based on fan feedback, the Bombers have introduced a new $3 menu featuring hot dogs, perogies, spring rolls and a vegetarian chili bowl, and bottled water for $3 including taxes. The lower prices also extend to hot chocolate, coffee, and 12 oz fountain pop for $2.50.
