Collision with Train Kills Dauphin Man

A collision with a train has claimed the life of a 28-year-old Dauphin man.

RCMP were called to the scene of a train/car collision shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday southeast of Dauphin.

A black Mitsubishi crossed the railroad tracks and ended up in the path of an eastbound CN train on Road 106 approximately 2 km south of PTH 20.

The driver was extricated from the car and transferred to Dauphin Regional Health Center, where he later died.

Police say the victim has been identified as Wan Loan (Ronald) Chan.

The investigation is continuing.
