Toews Bringing Stanley Cup to Winnipeg on Sunday

Winnipeg boy Jonathan Toews of the Stanley Cup-winning Chicago Blackhawks will be in town this Sunday, July 11.

Toews will host hometown celebrations, where the public can get up close with Lord Stanley’s coveted cup at the following locations:

11:00 a.m. to noon — Celebration at City Hall Court Yard, 510 Main Street
1:00 p.m. — Parade from École Christine-Lespérance to Dakota Community Club
2:00 p.m.  — Celebration at Dakota Community Club

Toews is the Blackhawks’ team captain and Conn Smythe Trophy winner. During the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, he also won a gold medal as part of Team Canada’s triumphant win over the U.S.
