A select group of University of Manitoba students will get to ring the closing bell at the NASDAQ Stock Exchange later today — almost exactly one year to the day they last had the honour of doing so.
The university was invited to New York due to its reputation for launching enterprises based on business plans developed by its students. The most successful of these businesses is Toronto-based NovaDAQ Technologies.
NovaDAQ now trades on the TSX and was recently identified as one of the fastest growing technology firms in Canada.
