Kids’ Ski, Snowboard Lessons Set to Begin at Stony Mountain

Stony Mountain Ski Area (HANDOUT)

If keeping the kids physically active during the winter months is a priority, Stony Mountain Ski Area will be helping with that task this weekend.

The ski hill’s new ski and snowboard programs for children ages 10-17 will be offered Saturdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Staff say the terrain park is in excellent condition, and the new turntable is a hit with the riders. Other park features include the table top, flat down, 42-foot kink rail, dragon back, 1/4 pipe hit with bonk poles, fun box, rainbow rail, flat rails and rollers.

To register for one of the programs, call (204) 344-5977.
