Stony Mountain Ski Area (HANDOUT)

Stony Mountain Ski Area was a popular spot over the weekend, with over 15 centimetres of fresh powder in recent days.

Staff say the base is packed up to 65 centimetres with all six runs and both lifts operating.

The ski hill is putting on a special session Thursday night for moms wanting to learn how to snowboard. MOB, or Moms on Board, will teach women the ins and outs of the sport at a beginner level. A similar session will run on Wednesday night, where women can learn how to ski.

To register and for more information, call (204) 344-5977.
