Advocates for finding a cure to ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, will come together on Saturday for the Falcon Lake Walk for ALS.
The 2.5 kilometre walk will begin in Whiteshell Provincial Park on the Trans-Canada Trail at 11 a.m. Registration is at 10:30 a.m.
Proceeds from the event help researchers to find a cure for ALS, and also helps to provide support services to families affected by the disease through the ALS Society of Manitoba.
To register or for more information, call Marlene Pontifex at (204) 222-5561 or (204) 349-2738.
Following the walk, participants can enjoy the 9th Annual Whiteshell Music Festival.
