Monarch Butterflies Celebrated at Annual Festival

The monarch butterfly will be celebrated on Sunday at the 4th Annual Monarch Butterfly Festival.

Held at the Living Prairie Museum from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., guided prairie hikes will be provided to educate visitors on butterflies, plants and animals of the tall grass prairie.

Besides hikes, storytelling, butterfly garden workshops and a meet and greet with ‘butterfly scientists’ will be held. The always popular butterfly release will also take place.

Admission to the festival is free, but donations will be gladly accepted.
