CTV Winnipeg will launch its own morning show this fall, anchored by Eleanor Coopsammy and Kris Laudien.

“CTV Morning Live” will air from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and is one of six new morning news shows being launched by the network this fall in various Canadian markets.

“Canada AM” will still be available on CTV News Channel and online, but not on the main CTV network.

The new morning show will provide a mix of breaking local news, weather and traffic in a friendly and fast-paced format.

Coopsammy has been with CTV Winnipeg for more than 10 years, most recently as the station’s consumer reporter.

Laudien — a native of Vancouver — has worked as a reporter and anchor with Citytv in Vancouver and Edmonton, as well as at Vancouver’s News 1130. He graduated from the journalism program at BCIT.
