Starting today, Tim Hortons locations in Winnipeg and Selkirk will begin selling smile chocolate chip cookies in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
The annual fundraiser will provide $1 from each sale of the cookies to the foundation’s ‘Be My Hero’ Capital Campaign.
Tim Hortons has made a $250,000 commitment to the campaign, in which over the next five years, proceeds from the sale of Smile Cookies have been designated to purchasing infant lung and breathing equipment as well as create an endowment to fund research students at the Foundation’s research division, the Manitoba Institute of Child Health (MICH). The equipment will be used to allow for specialized lung and breathing testing.
Since 2002, Tim Hortons has raised $311,279 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
