Forum Discusses Future of City’s Downtown Housing

November 7, 2011 8:03 AM | News

A public forum on the state of downtown housing will be the topic at the Winnipeg Free Press News Café on Tuesday.

The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is hosting a series of forums this month, which now looks at the city’s downtown housing plan. Attendees will learn about current and proposed housing developments, and interact with key decision-makers who are working for and promoting housing initiatives downtown.

Per-forum mingling will take place between 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., with the forum running from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Free Press reporters Dan Lett and Bartley Kives will moderate the forum at 237 McDermot Avenue. Oh, and if you needed an incentive to come out, free food will be served.

Panelists include several experts on housing developments, as well as CentreVenture CEO Ross McGowan, and Mark Hofer, developer of the Avenue Building.
