Siloam Mission has received a $10,000 donation from Boeing Winnipeg.

The aerospace manufacturer is celebrating its 40th anniversary and will be serving lunch at the Princess Street homeless shelter later today. The donation will help fund the shelter’s employment-training program.

Boeing has been helping to assist Siloam for the past four years, and is a partner in its Sponsor The Meal program. Employees from different divisions at Boeing volunteer on a regular basis, and are helping collect much-needed items for guests throughout November and December.

“Boeing employees have shown so much generosity to us. It’s uplifting and encouraging to see them give of their time, talent and resources to help those less fortunate succeed and move forward in their life,” said Floyd Perras, Siloam Mission’s executive director.
