Commuters will pedal their way through the streets of Winnipeg next month to promote cycling as everyday transportation.
Registration is now open for the fifth annual Bike to Work Day on Friday, June 22.
From 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., cyclists will get a boost with free snacks, bike tune ups and refreshments. Over thirty community and corporate groups will welcome cyclists in the morning and each stop will host its own prize giveaways, and opportunity to meet a diversity of active transportation supporters.
A BBQ later in the day will held at The Forks starting at 3:30 p.m. featuring local musical talent, a free dinner and the chance to win a new Schwinn bicycle or bike trailer.
