A seven-year-old boy from the RM of St. Andrews has died following a two-vehicle crash that happened Thursday evening.

RCMP were called to the junction of Highway 9 and Highway 44 at about 5:30 p.m. Police say a northbound 2003 Dodge Caravan collided with a southbound 2010 Nissan Rouge on Highway 9.

Road conditions were reported to be slippery at the time of the collision.

The boy was a passenger in the minivan and later died in hospital from serious injuries.

Two other people were also sent to hospital with undetermined injuries.
