Heading into a best-of-three series with the Regina Cougars, the University of Manitoba Bison men’s hockey team will work to make an impression this weekend.
The Friday and Saturday series gives the Bisons home ice advantage at Max Bell Arena as they welcome their prairie rivals. The No. 7-ranked Bisons (17-7-4) finished third in the Canada West regular season standings.
The Cougars (13-12-3), the sixth seed, will play the Bisons on Sunday if the teams should split wins in the 2013 Canada West Quarter Final.
Puck drop both nights (and if necessary on Sunday) is at 7 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $7 for students and seniors, while children under six are free.
