Monarch butterflies will be celebrated on Sunday, July 28 during the sixth annual Monarch Butterfly Festival at the Living Prairie Museum.
From noon to 4 p.m., visitors will be able to take in guided prairie hikes, storytelling sessions, a butterfly garden workshop and help with a butterfly release.
Local butterfly author Simone Hebert Allard and endangered animal biologist Bill Watkins will also be on hand.
All-day activities include life-cycle displays, crafts, face painting, silk screening (bring a T-shirt), and a prairie plant sale and activities for all ages.
Admission is free, but donations will also be accepted.
