Kelly-Anne Reiss is the big winner of the “MTS Stories From Home Pitch” at the Gimli Film Festival.
Reiss walked away with $20,000 for her project “Artist by Night,” which was selected in a live pitch environment of industry professionals at the Aspire Theatre.
Reiss earns her license fee to produce her film for MTS TV’s “Stories From Home” — a collection of new original and local programming.
“I’m excited to tell the story of two Winnipeg artists and thrilled to have MTS support,” Reiss said.
“Artist by Night” follows two men, over a 24-hour period, as they try to balance family, day jobs and a passion for art with only so much time in the day.
On Screen Manitoba also presented the pitch, along with the festival.
