Winnipeg Goldeyes LogoWinnipeg Goldeyes infielder Amos Ramon is returning for a fifth season.

The Fish signed Ramon to a contract for the upcoming 2014 season, locking up the 30-year-old who played in a career-high 97 games with the Goldeyes last year.

“With the addition of Amos, it certainly increases the overall depth of our infield and we are thrilled to have him back for the 2014 season,” manager Rick Forney said. “Hopefully he can be an integral part to another championship for us.”

Ramon began his pro career in Winnipeg late in the 2006 season after completing his college career with Louisiana Tech.

The Goldeyes now have 17 players signed for the 2014 season, including eight pitchers and nine position players.
