A 34-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested Thursday night after illegally flying a powered paraglider.
Transport Canada had previously warned the man not to fly in a restricted area, but noticed him operating again and contact police. He had been flying without a licence in city limits.
The Air 1 helicopter directed units on the ground to his location, where he was arrested without incident in the area of Wilkes Road and Charleswood Road at around 9:30 p.m.
The man has been charged with dangerous operation of an aircraft and was released on a promise to appear.
