City Suspends Mosquito Fogging Due to Low Trap Counts

July 13, 2014 11:05 AM | News

MosquitoThe City of Winnipeg has put mosquito fogging on hold due to low trap counts. The city-wide average adult mosquito trap count on Sunday was nine.

Fogging will resume when trap counts are in the range of 100 in one or more quadrants of the city.

Due to cool overnight temperatures, fogging was not completed in Insect Management Areas 43, 44, 45, 47, 48, 49, 50 and 51.

A public notice will be issued eight hours prior to resuming the fogging program.
