Agape Table Serving Less Fortunate a Thanksgiving Feast

October 9, 2014 7:05 AM | News

Agape TableWinnipeg’s Agape Table is providing a Thanksgiving meal to the city’s less fortunate on Friday morning.

The West Broadway agency will serve up a traditional feast to feed approximately 400 people. Due to limitations of time and oven space, ham will be served instead of turkey this year.

“Thanksgiving is a time for sharing and being with family, and many people in the community don’t have family to share this time with,” said Agape Table executive director Martina Richter. “Our community is our family, so we plan to ‘ham it up’ together.”

Meals will be served from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
