WINNIPEG — Three suspects made off with a hefty loot of Apple iPhones on Monday after an armed robbery in the 2600 block of Portage Avenue.
Police say at around 4:15 p.m., the suspects entered a cellular business, where a female indicated she wanted to purchase an iPhone 6. When the employee went to the back to get the phone, the three suspects confronted the female clerk and one produced a weapon.
The trio were able to make off with 25 iPhone 6 models in various colours, as well as a Samsung Note 4 from the Airsource Rogers wireless retailer.
The first two suspects are described as aboriginal males, approximately 23-years-old and early 20s, 5’7″ tall, with thin builds. One of the two had short straight black hair.
The female suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, early 20s, skinny build, and straight black hair in a ponytail.
