Winnipeg police are investigating two sexual assaults in the past week.
The first occurred on August 30 when a woman was waiting for a bus in the 100 block of Pembina Highway.
A man approached the victim at around 8:40 a.m. and asked her if she wanted to go for a ride. When she declined, she was inappropriately grabbed before the man returned to his vehicle. The victim wasn’t injured.
The suspect is described as caucasian, approximately 6’1″-6’3″ tall, 180-200 pounds, with light brown hair and a beard, with a dark tattoo on his upper right arm.
In the second assault, a woman was inappropriately touched on September 2 when she entered an apartment.
The victim was followed by a man on small, black framed mountain bike while walking northbound on Furby Street at around 11:30 p.m. The man attempted to strike up a conversation with the woman before following her to an apartment building. He fled once the woman banged on the door of a nearby suite.
The suspect is described as black, in his early 20’s, approximately 5’5″ in height, medium build with short dark hair.
