WINNIPEG — Large crowds are expected at Remembrance Day ceremonies across Winnipeg on Wednesday. Here’s where you can pay your respects.

RBC Convention Centre

The Joint Veterans’ Association of Manitoba is hosting Winnipeg’s largest Remembrance Day service. Doors will open to the public at 9:30 a.m. and those attending are asked to be seated by 10:15 a.m. The service begins at 10:45 a.m.

HMCS Chippawa

The service at 1 Navy Way begins at 10:30 a.m. and is open to the public.

Royal Winnipeg Rifles Remembrance Day Ceremony

Local at Vimy Ridge Memorial Park (Portage Avenue at Home Street), the public can attend a ceremony at the memorial to the 44th Battalion of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. The service begins at 10:30 a.m.

 

Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada

To recognize Remembrance Day, the museum will have guest speakers, including veterans, current military personnel and bush pilots, talking about their aviation careers throughout between 1-5 p.m.

Remembrance Day Blood Donor Clinics

Canadian Blood Services is holding Remembrance Day blood donor clinics tomorrow.

Location #1: Canadian Blood Services, 777 William Avenue, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Location #2: RBC Convention Centre (second floor), 375 York Avenue, between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
