Dog owners may notice some visitation at Winnipeg parks by Animal Services officers.

The city says officers will be handing out dog treats and educational materials on responsible pet ownership.

“Our goal is to make sure that all pet owners know and understand the responsible pet ownership by-law,” said Leland Gordon, chief operating officer of the Animal Services Agency.

“We’re excited to head out to city parks to hand out dog treats, meet some local pet owners, and chat about the importance of being a responsible pet owner.”
