The Winnipeg Blue Bombers cleared $4.4 million in profits last year — an increase of $500,000 from 2014.
The football club’s annual report, released Wednesday, shows operating revenue was at $28.3 million in 2015 — up from $1.5 million the year prior.
President and CEO Wade Miller says the last year was financially strong for the club, thanks in part to hosting the Grey Cup in November.
“These financial results speak volumes about our fans, corporate partners and season ticket members, helping us continue to generate strong profits each year,” Miller said.
The Blue Bombers brought in $7.1 million in net profits by hosting the CFL’s annual championship game and related festivities.
