WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police have charged a man in the death of a woman whose body was found covered with cardboard four years ago.
Deputy Chief Danny Smyth says the man charged was known to exploit women in the sex trade.
Simone Sanderson was found dead on Sept. 2, 2012, in a vacant lot.
Police say she died of blunt force trauma.
Police also say members of the public coming forward with information were critical in solving the case.
Kyllan James Ellis, who is 28, is charged with second-degree murder.
