Manitoba RCMP are investigating after a woman’s body was found in Opaskwayak Cree Nation Monday evening.
The woman’s remains were located at around 5:30 p.m. partially submerged in a pool of water behind an embankment.
“While thorough investigative steps have not revealed foul play so far, officers from several specialized sections continue to investigate this case,” said Sgt Bert Paquet of the Manitoba RCMP.
RCMP and the forensic identification unit continue to investigate.
