RCMP Logo VehicleWeather conditions are considered to be a contributing factor in a two-vehicle a crash that killed a 62-year-old Winnipeg man on Monday.

The crash happened at around 1:20 p.m. on Provincial Road 244 North, approximately 8 km north of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba.

RCMP say a southbound car crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a northbound SUV. The southbound car ended up in the east ditch, sending its driver to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The 33-year-old RM of Norfolk Treherne woman driving the SUV was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the road was slush-covered and it was snowing at the time.
