The Christmas Cheer Board is in for a special delivery on Friday.

CROWN Auto Group will be dropping off 1,800 turkeys through Granny’s Poultry to bolster the charity’s Christmas hampers program.

“We have been asking all of our customers and prospective customers to help us beat last year’s total of 1,800 turkeys! For every car leased or sold, we will donate a turkey on their behalf,” said Kabeir Dilawri, vice-president of CROWN Auto Group.

Cheer Board executive director Kai Madsen says the donation of $30,000 worth of turkeys is a huge asset to their program.

“We were hoping to get the call from the CROWN Auto Group again this year and sure enough, they came through for us,” Masden said.

The turkeys will be dropped off at 11 a.m. to 250-1395 Ellice Avenue. The Cheer Board is also desperate seeking volunteer drivers to help deliver hampers this week.
