Woman Dies in Serious Crash on Disraeli Freeway

Winnipeg Police CrestA 33-year-old woman has succumbed to her injuries in hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the Disraeli Freeway Wednesday afternoon.

A Saturn SL1 was travelling northbound on the Disraeli Freeway at around 2:45 p.m. when it crossed over the centre median and was struck by a southbound Chevrolet Cavalier near Argyle School.

The 25-year-old man driving the Saturn was taken to hospital in stable condition. His passenger later died.

The driver of the Cavalier was treated for minor injuries.

Winnipeg police continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6271.
