The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba is probing the arrest of a man after his eye socket was fractured.
Winnipeg police pulled over a Ford F-150 near Chancellor Drive and Pembina Highway at around 11 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect’s vehicle was blocked in by the police cruiser, which was then hit when the truck accelerated to try and flee. The truck eventually drove into an open field and became stuck in heavy snow. During the arrest, a struggle ensued and the suspect was injured.
