After testing it in some markets, including Winnipeg, McDonald’s is bringing all-day breakfast to restaurants across Canada beginning February 21 due to growing demand.
The Grant Park McDonald’s was the first location in Winnipeg to begin the all-day morning food selection on January 13, which has proven to be popular among customers.
The test began earlier this year at 17 restaurants in B.C., Ontario and Quebec. 1,100 of the chain’s 1,450 restaurants will continue with the around-the-clock breakfast menu.
“Folks are looking for and have been looking for this kind of offering for the longest time,” McDonald’s Canada CEO John Betts recently told The Canadian Press.
“We know we’re going to do well with it.”
As of 11:01 a.m. next month, customers will be able to purchase an Egg McMuffin, Bacon ‘n Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin, Sausage ‘n Egg McMuffin, along with Hotcakes with Sausage, Hotcakes, and Hashbrowns, outside of regular breakfast hours.
Competitor A&W will launch its all-day breakfast program on February 27.
