Two people were injured in a crash in Selkirk on Saturday, prompting the Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit to step in.
The IIU says a brief pursuit took place at around 8:16 p.m. when police attempted to stop a pickup truck near the intersection of Manitoba Avenue and Main Street. The driver failed to stop and sped through a red light, colliding with another vehicle.
Two people inside the second vehicle were taken to hospital with injuries, while three people in the truck were arrested.
The IIU will probe the events leading up to the crash.
