Speed and alcohol are considered factors in a fatal snowmobile crash early Saturday near Swan River.
A 43-year-old man from the community was snowmobiling at around 2:25 a.m. when RCMP say he lost control and collided with a tree after veering off the trail.
Police say it happened about six kilometres southeast of Swan River as the man was travelling with a small group.
He was taken to hospital and pronounced deceased.
The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was wearing a helmet at the time.
