About 9,000 fans lined Donald Street on Friday night for the second Winnipeg Whiteout Street Party.
As the Jets rolled over the Minnesota Wild inside Bell MTS Place, a sea of white was filling Donald Street from Portage Avenue to St. Mary Avenue. Economic Development Winnipeg says hundreds of young fans also enjoyed the festivities at the alcohol-free zone at Millennium Library Park.
Additional food and beverages vendors were brought in after the first street party and organizers say that helped to keep lines manageable.
Organizers will meet in the coming days to incorporate feedback and improve further street parties.
Should the Jets make it to Game 5, the next party will happen Friday, April 20. The start time will be announced once the NHL confirms the start time of the hockey game.
The Jets now head to St. Paul, Minnesota to take on the Wild in Game 3 and 4, scheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, April 17 at 7 p.m. Winnipeg leads the playoff series 2-0.
