WINNIPEG — It’s time to put on your skates and go for a rip at The Forks.

The on-land skating trails now span 1.2 kilometres through Arctic Glacier Winter Park. The rink at CN Stage is also open for the season.

Skate rentals are available on site beside the skate change area in the Market Atrium. Kids and seniors rates are $4, while adults can rent a pair for $6. Skate sharpening is available for $6.

Free winter programming runs every Sunday through February, including horse-drawn wagon rides, Indigenous storytelling and bannock making, snow sculpting sessions and Soul on Ice — where the Canopy Rink transforms into a dancefloor.

The Red River Mutual Trail usually opens in January, but updates will be posted at TheForks.com/rivertrail.
