Snowmobile Crash on Manitoba Trail Critically Injures Man

RCMP Crest Logo VehicleAlcohol is believed to have been a factor in a snowmobile crash that sent a 34-year-old man to hospital in critical condition over the weekend.

Manitoba RCMP say the RM of Oakland-Wawanesa man was driving on a trail just east of Highway 340 Saturday evening when he was rear-ended by another snowmobile being driven by a 46-year-old man from Pleasant Valley, Manitoba.

The impact sent the victim to hospital, where he remains, while the second rider suffered minor injuries.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
