It’s never been easier to help send a child to camp.
Today, June 5th is Tim Hortons Camp Day. For every cup of coffee sold, 100 per cent of proceeds goes towards the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. The foundation sends disadvantaged youth across the country to camp who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity.
Tims Camps support youth between the ages 12 to 16 from low-income homes through a multi-year, camp-based program where they learn skills such as leadership and responsibility, bring out their potential. In North America, Tim Hortons runs seven camps.
Today, you can also purchase a limited-edition Camp Day bracelet for $2. You can also help by rounding up your order to the nearest dollar.
Year-round, you can donate into the “Camp Day” money boxes.
The Tim Hortons Foundation started in 1974 to honour the late Tim Horton and his love of children. He was also driven to help the less fortunate.
The camps are free for the kids and their families.
