A design option to replace the 50-year-old Daly Overpass in Brandon will be unveiled later this month.
The province says the design will be shown at a public information session on October 28.
The $65 million design includes two, two-lane overpass structures constructed on a new alignment east of the existing overpass, one for northbound lanes and one for southbound traffic.
“This is a critical part of Brandon’s infrastructure as it is one of two primary north-south routes in the city,” said Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler.
“We know this multi-million dollar project is long overdue, and we are pleased to work with our City of Brandon and federal partners to get the job done.”
Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2021, with the existing structure remaining in operation during construction.
The public open house will run from 6-8 p.m. at the Victoria Inn, 3550 Victoria Avenue in Brandon.
