A hunter called RCMP over the weekend after coming across human remains in a wooded area near Brandon.
RCMP responded to the RM of Cornwallis close to Highway 1A on Saturday afternoon, where a human bone was believed to have been found.
A police dog and the RCMP search and rescue team later located more human bones nearby.
Blue Hills RCMP and the Chief Medical Examiner’s office are investigating.
